Pullman resident since 1990.
My name is Norma Zarris and I have lived in Pullman for the last 24 years. I began taking classes in ceramics at the Hyde Park Center abut seven years ago, and for the last two years here in Pullman, where our own resident Dee Smith has been instructing a small group. For me, working with clay, has been very therapeutic and relaxing, especially when hand building. When I sit down with a clump of clay. I may have a plan to what the result should be, but as the process evolves I sometime find that my ideas about what I would like to see happen changes. Sometimes the clay itself dictates the outcome.
